Wesley to be ruled out vs Cremonese, Dybala and Kone return

Two sighs of relief and a crucial return.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s phone, just hours after the draw with Napoli, received only positive messages yesterday.

The first concerned Wesley’s physical condition.

The Brazilian had limped off the pitch at the Maradona stadium on Sunday evening, with ice on his left ankle after Rrahmani’s tackle that led to Roma’s penalty. But diagnostic tests have ruled out any injuries or fractures.

It’s just a severe bruise, which will need to be treated with ice and a few days of therapy.

A rest against Cremonese is possible to ensure he’s at his best for the big match against Juve.

But the good news doesn’t end there. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala’s knee tests have also returned positive results.

La Joya will return to training tomorrow, this time aiming to return to full fitness after his unexpected withdrawal last Sunday.

Gasperini will certainly have Koné back, having overcome his muscle injury and returned to full fitness.

Hermoso and El Shaarawy are also on the road to recovery. Ferguson remains sidelined, having been out since the Stuttgart match almost a month ago. Dovbyk is also out, but will return around April.
