Alysa Liu has been on the Olympics stage before, but a lot has changed since 2022.
She actually retired temporarily and has now come back with a new mindset for the 2026 Games.
Liu placed seventh in the women's individual figure skating competition four years ago. Now, she hopes to do better.
An American woman hasn't medaled as an individual since 2006, and Team USA has a great chance to change that.
Action will get underway with the short programs on Tuesday, and Liu is near the end of the slate of skaters.

What time does Alysa Liu actually skate?
Alysa Liu will skate her short program on Tuesday at 4:20 p.m. ET (10:20 p.m. local time).
She is the first of six skaters in the final warmup group, which also includes teammates Isabeau Levito (4:27) and Amber Glenn (4:46)
Most of the best scores will be expected to come out of this final grouping. With Liu leading them off after they all get warmed up, she can make a statement that she's even better than she was four years ago.
