Gonzaga Advances One Position in Latest AP Poll Rankings

After going 2-0 this past week, including a massive 94-86 road victory over the Santa Clara Broncos, the Gonzaga Bulldogs (25-2, 13-1 WCC) have moved up one spot in the newest Associated Press Poll to No. 11. The Zags, back on top of the West Coast Conference standings, received 903 total points.

The Broncos no longer have any votes from the media, but the Saint Mary’s Gaels have three.

With Selection Sunday now 27 days away, Gonzaga is either No. 3 or No. 4 in the majority of bracketology reports.

In the NET rankings, coach Mark Few’s unit is up to No. 6 with a 6-1 record in Quad 1 opportunities. As for KenPom, the Zags have also continued to slide up to No. 10 with the No. 19-ranked offense and No. 13-ranked defense.

After an absence in the top-ten rankings, EvanMiya has placed Gonzaga back in at No. 10.

This week, the annual trip to the Chase Center to face off with the San Francisco Dons on Wednesday, Feb. 18. It can be viewed on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. PT.
