The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the 2026 offseason with similar needs to each of the last two offseasons. Quarterback and wide receiver remain massive holes on the roster, with the Steelers needing both a legitimate No. 2 wideout and depth at the position.
Pittsburgh traded for DK Metcalf last March and then traded away George Pickens in May. In 2024, they traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers and failed to replace him. They can’t afford to make that same mistake for a third straight year, and they have a new free agent option to target.
The Miami Dolphins have released All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The soon-to-be 32-year-old suffered a season-ending leg injury in the middle of the 2025 season. Now a free agent, the Steelers could look to bring him in on a short-term deal.
Of course, Hill will have his choice on where he wants to play, and it’s all but guaranteed that the Kansas City Chiefs will look to bring him back. Miami also released Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who had a very productive 2024 season with the Tennessee Titans, catching nine touchdowns.
From 2022-24, Hill caught 319 passes for 4,468 yards, and 26 touchdowns.
